Dear Santa...

Connor is really excited for Christmas to come. We have been talking about making Santa some yummy sugar cookies for Christmas. Connor wanted to make Santa a note to put next to the cookies. He told me what he wanted to say and I told him the letters. I was really impressed at his 4 year old abilities to write Santa a letter.

"Santa
Dear old man. Eat your cookies."
I was laughing sooo hard when he said he wanted to write "old man". I'm sure that will get him points with dear old Santa. What a kid.
I am trying to find some fun (and inexpensive) things with my kids for the Holidays. What are some good traditions you have with your families?

We like to make a chain to count down the days :) that's cheap :) paper snowflakes to hang on the window....how cheap were you thinking?

I love the note :)

I took my boys to see Santa and two of his reindeer (REAL reindeer) at the christmas tree lot on 9000 S. and State. It's kind of a drive for you guys but if you're in the area, the kids thought it was pretty cool. Hayden asked him for a saxophone and a clarinet. Santa and I steered him toward a skateboard.

Love the note! That is classic!

A tradition we are going to start is in the friend - the one about making a cake and decorating it for Jesus' Birthday. It think it's a perfect way to teach young children why we really celebrate Christmas.

Hey, I just saw something on another friends blog. The Hogle Zoo has free days during the winter. From November through February the last Weds. of the month is free. So you could see Zoo Lights - well, I am not sure that they'd still have them up on New years eve. That's the last wed of the month - o-well I tried, at least it's something free.
