Istanbul Not Constantinople
A couple of years ago I was able to go on a trip that I considered a once in a lifetime opportunity. I went on a girls trip to Paris and Turkey. Recently I found out that I have been given this chance again! This Spring I will be going back to Turkey. A lady in my mom's ward works for an airline and asked if my mom wouldn't go with her to Turkey and provide her with a buddy pass. She generously offered to have my sister Alissa (who didn't go on the trip last time) and I go along as well. I was a little worried at first about all the details like what to do with the kids and how I probably should be more practical with my money. Thankfully I have a very supprotive husband and a very generous mother in law. I love Istanbul and I had one of the most amazing experiences of my life going there. Here are a few pictures from the last adventure:

Very cool!
My mom went to Turkey a couple of years ago for a teaching job, and she met and married a Turkish man! She goes back several times a year. I've never been.
Cally--that is so awesome. I am happy for you. Money question...wish I had an answer---maybe you could have a yard sale:). We did that before we went to New Hampshire as a family and cleared about 500.00. Just a thought. When do you need the money by? Sounds fabulous!! Julie
Sounds wonderful!! I am excited to see more pictures of your adventure.
I could sell one of my eggs for you, I'm not using them. Or...you could sell me that pot (not the illegal kind, by McIntosh) for $100. Let me know, and I'll bring cash.
Hey nice how you cut me out of the pic - guess you'll be sharing a room with Boyd and Jan at Bear Lake this summer. Where did you get the pic inside Empress Zoe with the cat ? - would have to visit their website to get the #@$$ cat's name. If Alissa is so generous to donate an egg, then I guess I can step up and sell my body for tips to help your Istanbul fund. ITS A JOKE BOYD - gee don't get your blood pressure up.
